The Legends Car Club's annual Charity Drag Races marked its 20th year with roaring engines and a dedicated community spirit. Held over the weekend, the event featured time trials, bracket eliminations, and a strong turnout of racers and spectators.

Alex Loewen, President of the Legends Car Club and Co-Chair of the drag races, expressed gratitude for the community's involvement, highlighting the crucial role of the sponsors and volunteers who made the event possible.

"What a phenomenal way for what really is a niche hobby... we can give back to the community," said Loewen.

This year, the funds raised will benefit STARS Air Ambulance, Genesis House, and South Central Cancer Resource—three organizations that have become major recipients of the events 50/50.

Representatives from Genesis House and STARS expressed their appreciation for the ongoing support. Tracy Maudy, Community Engagement Officer for STARS, noted, "They've chosen us once again, which makes us see that we hold a dear place in their heart."

The event not only brings the community together but also supports important causes, demonstrating how groups like Legends Car Club can have a lasting impact.
