Jodey Allan Oscar John Preston (Yamniuk) aged 55 years of Moose Jaw, SK, passed away peacefully in his home on Thursday, August 15th, 2024. Jodey was born December 3rd, 1968, and was raised in Moose Jaw.
He was predeceased by his father, Alvin Yamniuk; Uncle Mervin Yamniuk; Aunt Darlene Black; Uncle Brian Yamniuk and granddaughter, Seymaria. Jodey is survived by his wife Susan.
Children: Ashley (Seymour Jr), Kayla, stepsons Anthony and Josh; Grandchildren: Neon, Turrell, Seymeira, Seymeiria, Seymour III, and Rylan. Mother Ellen Preston, brother Danny Preston (Yamniuk) (Leeanne)and sisters, Tanya Channer and Kenda Preston. Also, numerous nieces and nephews.
Jodey married the love of his life, Susan Batke in 2014. He worked at the Lynbrook Golf Course for 14 years, a job he really enjoyed. In his teen years, Jodey was well known for pushing a Shopping cart of alcohol across Cresent Park to supply his friends for the parties. His biggest hobby was scratching Crossword tickets and Sport Select. He was also an avid Calgary Flames fan. Most of all, Jodey loved spending time with his grandkids. Later in his life, due to poor health, he enjoyed time at home with his best friend – his dog, Maully.
Jodey will be sadly missed by all.
A come and Go Celebration of Jodey’s Life will be held on Sunday, August 25th, 2024 from 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. at the Comfort Inn, 155 Thatcher Drive West in Moose Jaw.
