Estevan Fire and Rescue tackled a series of emergency calls last week, ranging from false alarms to assisting in a multi-vehicle collision.

On August 13, Estevan Fire and Rescue (EFR) responded to a commercial fire alarm at a business on the north side of the city. The call was determined to be a false alarm caused by a malfunctioning detection device.

On August 15, around 12 p.m., EFR assisted EMS on the northwest side of Estevan. Later that day, EFR responded to a multi-vehicle collision in central Estevan, where crews provided traffic control and conducted cleanup at the scene. At 8:45 p.m., EFR responded to another commercial fire alarm at a business on the northwest side of the city. The alarm was triggered by an expired detection device.

On August 17, EFR was dispatched to a commercial fire alarm on the northeast end of the city. The alarm was found to be false, and no action was required by the crews.
