KLYNE

In loving memory of our father, sibling and friend Marvin William Klyne, who passed away on Friday, August 16th, 2024.  Marvin was a loving father to his three children: Skyla, Teegan, and Zac to whom he would have done anything for.  He had often stated that his greatest achievement was becoming a father, and that was what he felt was his purpose in life.

Marvin was a journeyman in the sense that there wasn’t a job that he couldn’t do, and that had him working various jobs over his lifetime.  Most notably was his time at RL Cushing Millwork, where he made lifelong friends that made work enjoyable and kept him laughing.  Most recently he had been working as a janitor in the Holy Trinity Catholic School Division, a job that he loved and never stopped talking about.  His dream was to be a teacher, life slowed that down and this opportunity to be in a school was the perfect place for him to be.

Marv will be dearly missed by his three children: Skyla (Colton), Teegan, and Zac (Ashley); his four beautiful grandchildren: Harrison, Natalie, Aliyah, and Marley; siblings: Bonnie (Doug) Schmirler, Yuanitta (Jason) Morhart, Mark (Mary) LaRocque, and Telfer LaRocque; along with his nieces and nephews: David and Matthew, Joshua, Nile and Holly, Kyle, Evan, Michael, Cody and Jackie, and Riley; and his furrever friend, Elvis; as well as more friends and family.  He was predeceased by his mother, Betty Klyne; father, Sonny Klyne; brothers: Reno and Monte LaRocque, and Joe Klyne; and niece, Kristin LaRocque.

If you knew Dad, you knew he put everyone ahead of himself.  He spent countless years helping coach baseball teams, where he treated every single one of those kids as his own and will be seriously missed around the ball fields in the future.  All his friends have or know a story of Marv that has been shared, usually involving him doing something stupid or putting them above himself.  If there’s one thing you can say about Marvin, it’s that he was him and if you did not like that he did not care because he was always going to be him.

There will be a private celebration of Marvin’s life at a later date.  Arrangements are entrusted to Moose Jaw Funeral Home, 268 Mulberry Lane.  Gary McDowell, Funeral Director 306-693-4550 www.moosejawfuneralhome.com
