Last Monday morning at 11:35, Morden Police Service (MPS) received a call regarding a male trying to break and enter at a residence. When officers arrived, they saw a male holding a metal rod in his hand and yelling at the house. He then began walking towards police holding the rod in an aggressive manner. He was safely taken into custody. During a search, a knife was also located in the man's possession. He was arrested for possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and also charged with Fail to Comply with a release Order. He was remanded into custody.

On Friday evening at 6:20, MPS was called to a single vehicle rollover at the intersection of Mountain Street South and Progressive Rd. Officers found the vehicle in the ditch and spoke to the unharmed driver. That is when officers detected the odor of alcohol and demanded a roadside breath sample which resulted in a fail reading. The driver was issued a 90-day driving suspension and a 30-day vehicle impoundment along with a $700 fine.

On the same day, while on general patrol, police found a suspicious vehicle parked in the parking lot of a local business. Officers believed it to be stolen, located the occupants of the vehicle, and upon further investigation, police uncovered methamphetamine in it. As a result, a 28-year-old male and 27-year-old female were both arrested for Possession of a Controlled Substance and released on undertakings to attend Morden Provincial Court in October.
