Chanse Vigen successfully defended his title on Monday on the fourth and final night of the Battle of the Rockies.
Vigen placed fourth on the night, one position behind runner-up Wade Salmond, who came in at just 29 one-hundreds of a second behind Vigen in the aggregate.
This was Vigen's fourth win of the season, having previously bagged buckles in Medicine Hat, High River, and Strathmore.
Though the stop in Rocky Mountain House hasn't been the strongest leg of the WPCA tour for High River's Jason Glass, night four was an exception.
He posted the second-highest time of the night and ended up cracking the top 20 in the aggregate and retaining his number three spot in the world standings.
Other Foothills-area drivers, Dayton Sutherland and Jordie Fike, also posted relatively high times, with Sutherland placing seventh and Fike placing 14th.
The chucks are headed to Ponoka next week for the Wild West WPCA World Chuckwagon Finals starting on August 28.
