Image removed.The Winkler Flyers organization has announced that General Manager and Head Coach Justin Falk will be stepping down after three years of dedicated service. Falk, who has been instrumental in shaping the team's culture and development, leaves behind a legacy of commitment, growth, and success. 

Falk reflects on his time with the Flyers. "Obviously, it was an incredible three years," Falk said. "From the organization, the Board of Directors, and everyone involved, it’s been a collective effort to build something special here. When people read the press release, they'll get a full understanding of the incredible individuals working tirelessly behind the scenes to make this junior hockey program successful and viable in the community." 

Falk, who has worn many hats within the organization over the years, expressed both pride and bittersweet emotions as he transitions into new opportunities. "This experience has been a tremendous opportunity for me personally," he added. 

When asked about the future of the Winkler Flyers, Falk was optimistic. "This place is in great shape. The people here, on the day-to-day, are fully dedicated, and I fully anticipate the positive momentum we've built to continue. Though I'll be supporting the club from a different perspective, I look forward to cheering them on." 

Falk also shared his heartfelt appreciation for the Winkler community. "Winkler is truly a great, passionate hockey town," he said. "I can't speak enough about the incredible people who came together to help build the culture and the junior A platform we envisioned. The community has been amazing. Whether it’s the fans who showed up for our games or the corporate sponsors who believed in our vision, their support has been crucial." 

Looking ahead, Falk emphasized the importance of continued community involvement, especially with upcoming rink renovations and changes within the organization. "We’re entering a bit of a transition period, and the community will be essential in ensuring the Flyers' future success. I’m excited to continue supporting the team and being a resource however I can." 

The Winkler Flyers will now begin the search for a new General Manager and Head Coach, as Falk steps down from his role with the club. The organization thanks Falk for his unwavering dedication and leadership and wishes him the best in his future endeavors.
