The Southeast College has named their new Interim President and CEO as Jody Holzmiller.
Holzmiller has been with the college for 20 years, holding master's degrees in leadership and educational administration.
Previously she filled the position of Vice President, Professional Training and Continuing Studies at Southeast College.
“Jody is a trusted leader who cares passionately about Southeast College,” says Board of Governors Chair John Williams. “She is highly respected within the College, the College system, and the communities that we serve. Jody has built an extensive network of strong relationships during her tenure that is key to the ongoing growth and success of Southeast College.”
Vice President of Communications and Strategic Enrollment Sheena Onrait says that after their previous President and CEO Holzmiller was selected to help keep their plans on track.
"In order to keep on with the fantastic work that we've done over the last couple of years and to keep moving and keep on track and keep growing and innovating, it's important for us to ensure we have solid leadership and important for us to ensure that our plan keeps going and we can fulfill our business plan and our strategic plan. So leadership is a huge deal and we were very, very lucky that our board has put forward that Jody Holzmiller be named our interim President and CEO."
Onrait says that Holzmiller is a great fit for the position, having so much history with the college.
"She has a long history at Southeast College and a number of leadership positions. She has an incredible way of connecting with both staff and students and the communities as a whole. She's very well known in all of our communities and very well respected in our communities."
More work will be done over the year by the Board of Governors to fill the position on a permanent basis over the next year.
