Estevan Minor Football is calling for volunteers to participate in a work bee this weekend as they prepare for the upcoming football season.

Pat Ford with EMF said the work will take place at the Woodlawn Game Fields on Sunday, August 25, focusing on painting the locker rooms, painting the bleachers, and completing other minor projects.

He noted that around 10 to 20 volunteers would be ideal, but any number of volunteers is welcome.

In addition to volunteers, they are also looking for a few supplies. “We’ve got most of the cleaning supplies. We ask people if they want to bring a paintbrush, a shovel, or a rake. We’ve got some gravel to move around, so tools like that.”

Ford said to contact him via text at (306) 421-9233 if you are interested in helping out.

EMF kicks off the season with a road game in Moose Jaw on September 6. The group will also be at city-wide registration on August 28 for anyone still hoping to register for the upcoming season.
