The second annual Central Alberta Humane Society Pancakes for Paws fundraiser is back today (Aug. 24).
Plates will be available for a donation, and include pancakes, sausage, and a beverage.
The event features a Kids Corner with various activities and crafts, guided shelter tours, pet adoption specials, and opportunities to meet the animals in care.
Throughout the event, the humane society is collecting items to Stuff the CA Humane Van, including canned cat and dog food, sealed dry food and treats, clumping kitty litter, peanut butter, and Cheez Whiz.
"Your generous contributions will make a significant difference in the lives of our animals, providing them with the nutrition and care they need,” said Kelly Richard, Fund Development Coordinator in a media release.
The event runs at the shelter (4505 77 Street, Red Deer) today (Aug. 24), from 8 a.m. until 11 a.m.
