The Estevan Public Youth Centre (EPYC) is gearing up for a busy and exciting Friday, with two key events aimed at supporting the community and engaging local families.

The day kicks off with a fundraiser BBQ hosted by the Southern Plains Co-op from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in their grocery store parking lot. For $6, attendees can enjoy a hamburger or hot dog with a cold drink, with all proceeds benefiting EPYC.

The day concludes with a Family Night at the Estevan Public Youth Centre, offering a welcoming environment for families to explore the centre and meet the team. Organized by the board, volunteers, and Executive Director Merissa Scarlett, the event is designed to help families become familiar with the centre and its offerings. It’s also a great opportunity for those interested in volunteering to learn more about how they can get involved.

Free hot dogs will be served, and while there is no charge, donations will be accepted. “Donations are encouraged because we are a nonprofit, and this would just help us keep our doors open and keep things free,” said Scarlett.
