Albert Ervin Hogemann
March 28, 1929 – August 20, 2024

Albert Ervin Hogemann was born March 28th, 1929, in Watson, SK, to Bernhard and Marie (née Scheper) Hogemann. When Albert was young, he worked at various jobs in various locations. In Atikokan, Ontario at a logging company with his brother, he was put in jail because he wouldn't squeal on his brother for bootlegging. That is what brought him back to Saskatchewan where he met the love of his life Florence Wagner in July 1952. They married October 14th, 1952. Shortly after they were married, Albert and Florence moved to their first homestead. They then settled on their permanent homestead in 1954. Albert and Florence raised 8 children on the farm as well. In 1953 Albert started his trucking company- Hogemann Transport which he ran along with the farm. The couple left the farm in 1974 and moved into St Gregor, SK, and the homestead is now owned by Albert’s grandson Wade. Above all Albert loved his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. His other loves were horses and spending time at Greenwater Lake. Albert will be lovingly missed by: Donald (Sherry) Hogemann, their children: Chris (Laura), Craig (Ashley), Colby; Charlotte(U) Hogemann,  her children: Eric(U), Ervin, Karen (David); David (Wendy) Hogemann, their children: Brooke (Pat), Dustin (Amy), Cody (Petra), Dereck (Kristen); Valerie (Alan) Lins, their children: April (Conrad), Ashley (Kyle), Amber (Kyle), Mitch (Alexandra); Wayne (Audrey) Hogemann, their children: Wade (Kayli), Courtney (Jared); Joyce (U) (Bill) Szautner, their children: Benji (Kairee), Evan (Michelle); William (Marie) Hogemann, their children: Nick (Jay), Mandy (Dave); Catherine (Darrell) Wickenhauser, their children: Kaitlyn (Justin), Kelsey (Austin), Owen (Brittany); 44 great- grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Albert was predeceased by his wife Florence (2003); daughters: Charlotte (2000), and Joyce (2024); grandson Eric (2021); parents; all of his siblings; and numerous in laws. The Funeral Mass was offered at St. Augustine Roman Catholic Church, Humboldt, SK, on Saturday, August 24, 2024 at 10:30 am, celebrated by Fr. Paul Oshin. Others taking part were: Colby Hogemann, cross bearer; Brooke Strueby and April Boychuck, scripture readers; Benji Szautner, intentions; Wade Hogemann and Owen Wickenhauser, gift bearers; and Courtney Casey and Cheyenne Lins, memorial table attendants; Cathy Wickenhauser and Donald Hogemann, urnbearers; and All of Albert’s Grandchildren, honorary pallbearers. Music ministry was provided by the St. Augustine Parish Funeral Choir, directed by Loretta Schugmann and the organist was Melanie Ramsay. Memorial luncheon was held at Humboldt Royal Canadian Legion Branch #28 Hall. The eulogists were Chris Hogemann, Ashley Klashinsky, Amber MacDonald, Dereck Hogemann, Kaitlyn Zelle, Kelsey Wickenhauser. Interment will be at later date at St. Gregory Roman Catholic Cemetery, St. Gregor, SK. Memorial donations may be directed to either the St. Gregory Roman Catholic Church & Cemetery Fund (P.O.
