The Heritage Village is gearing up a paranormal investigation. This event is in partnership with Canadian Paranormal Expeditions, a team from Qu’Appelle Valley who hold events across the country.

Leisure Services Manager for the City of Weyburn, Amanda Wallace, says they’re very excited for the experience to come to Weyburn.

“You will experience Heritage Village through the miscellaneous ghost hunting tools that they provide. You'll be able to handle and manipulate the ghost hunting equipment and experience it in your own hands.”

Wallace says the event is tied to paranormal stories told about the village saying “Heritage Village is a very historic place, and you know what, this is a good time for you to test out the theories, if you have any theories about if there's spirits or the paranormal within those walls or the compound.”

The Canadian Paranormal Expeditions team came out to investigate the village, their findings will be explored during the event.

The event will take place on September 7th with three available timeslots. Tickets must be purchased ahead of time as there are limited spots. The timeslots are from 7 p.m. - 9 p.m., 9:30 p.m. - 11:30 p.m., and12 a.m. - 2 a.m.

The 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. tour is for ages sixteen and older, all other tours are for ages nineteen and older.

Wallace says participants should remember to bring their I.D and dress according to the weather as well as wearing comfortable walking shoes as the two-hour tour is on foot. Those attending should also bring their own flashlights; all other gear will be provided by the team.

Concession and merchandise will be available for purchase, cash only.
