Members of the Weyburn Police Service, Weyburn Fire Services, and EMS were on the scene of an accident at the intersection of Third Street and Highway 39 this afternoon following a collision involving two vehicles.
The incident occurred at approximately 1:50 p.m.
"Two occupants of a northbound vehicle SUV sustained some injuries and were transported to the Weyburn General Hospital with unknown injuries at this time," shared Corporal Riley Doud. "The lone occupant of a westbound SUV suffered minor injuries."
Doud said the incident is still under investigation and charges are pending at this time.
The scene was cleared by 3:30 p.m.
"We had to block off the northwest-bound lane for a short period and then it was reopened once we determined what was going on there," he noted. "Both vehicles sustained a considerable amount of damage and have been cleaned up from the scene. Fire [Services] remained on scene to assist the City with the guard rail that was damaged as a result of the collision."
