On Aug. 20, at approximately 5 p.m., the Red Deer RCMP Crime Reduction Team, with the assistance of the Central Alberta Crime Reduction Unit and RCMP Air Services, arrested two individuals in the Inglewood neighbourhood of Red Deer. 

Officers were conducting patrols within the city and located a driver that was prohibited and wanted on warrants. 

Through an investigation, officers located Methamphetamine and Cocaine in their possession, along with items consistent with drug trafficking.

A 24-year-old male resident of Red Deer was arrested, and has been charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking, and driving while prohibited.  

A 32-year-old female resident of Rocky Mountain House was also arrested and charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking.

Both are currently awaiting Judicial Interim Release Hearings.

An update is expected.
