As some may have noticed this past week, renovations have been getting started at the Prairie Sky Co-op Food Store.
In addition to the exterior work as seen in the above photo, General Manager Kevin Arthur said the work will include the replacement of refrigeration equipment, produce displays, and floors.
The pharmacy will also be moving to the center of the west wall, allowing more space for the much-needed resource.
Local subcontractors, including Don’s Plumbing and Heating, and CD Electric will be utilized by the general contractor, CCR Construction, a Regina-based company.
Arthur said the food store will remain open during the renovations, which are expected to be completed next summer.
"With a project this large, there will be some disruption, but we’re going to do everything we can to limit that to make the experience as good as possible for our customers."
He added that the work will result in a state-of-the-art facility that will serve customers well into the future.
