Okotoks Dawgs catcher Jacob Wrubleski has officially committed to playing for Gonzaga University this season.

After playing his freshman year with Chandler-Gilbert Community College, where he was batting a .409 with 50 RBIs and nine home runs, he now finds himself moving over to Spokane, Washington to take part in the NCAA Division One baseball program. He would be named to the First Team All-ACCAC and All-Region DII while competing in his freshman year. At Chandler-Gilbert Community College, Wrubleski had the second-best batting average on the team, third in hits, third in RBIs, and second in home runs.

Wrubleski also plays first base on top of being a catcher and played in two seasons with the WCBL Okotoks Dawgs. In 2023 he made one appearance at the plate earning a walk. During this past season, he suited up for 16 games posting a .309 batting average, 17 hits, and 18 runs for the Dawgs.

"I want to excel in both academics and athletics and continue to better myself as a student, person, and baseball player," Wrubleski said in a release made by Gonzaga University.
