The City of Weyburn's Fall and Winter Leisure Services Guide has everything needed to get registered for classes and lessons, all the way to the end of spring.

"It's all-encompassing, with different programs that are offered," said Leisure Services Manager Amanda Wallace.

"Registration for any programming that you'd like to do at the Spark Centre will begin on September 10th at 8 a.m., and any programming you'd like to do at the Weyburn Leisure Centre can be done on September 10th at 8:30 a.m.," she said. "So we have youth programming, children's programming as well as adult programming. We have some adult volleyball, and, of course, we have our arts programs at the Spark Centre as well."

"Lessons can be viewed in the Leisure Guide with miscellaneous dates, Saturday sessions start September 21st, and they'll run until mid-December," she noted.

Registration also opens up on September 10th for any of the PD Day Camps.

"The Spark Centre camps are typically filled quite quickly, but that's not to say that it's not for naught, because they are art and activity."

Even birthday parties can be booked at City facilities, including the Weyburn Leisure Centre, the Spark Centre, and the Tom Zandee Sports Arena.

"Contact the emails associated with each facility or give them a call or stop in," Wallace invited. "The leisure guide features different ways to contact them or learn about them as well, so you can kind of follow along the guide and learn what the hourly rates are, some descriptions, and what's included and then things to know with them."

The City offers three ways to register. One is online via the Xplor platform, for which you'll need to create an account.

"We hear a lot of feedback that people really appreciate the online registration, whether it's employees, staff, or the public themselves," Wallace commented. "We all live really busy lives, so it's quite fortunate for us to have that online system. People can see instantly if the spot or the program they want to register for is full, how many spaces are left, and so on and so forth. So it's really quite a handy tool and we're happy to have it. It is a tool that lots of municipalities use, so it just makes sense because it has all the good stuff in one prime spot."

Another option for registering is to call the facility or go in person.

"Just note, of course, with any launch date, there is the likelihood it will be fairly busy, and just be patient with us as we're trying to serve everyone the best we can."
