There’s a new way to enjoy Streetfest this year!
Along with the Streetfest dance on Friday night, along with yoga in the park, a pancake breakfast, a host of vendors and food providers, and all the great local Saturday performers, organizers introduce the first ever Streetfest Scavenger Hunt.
The hunt is an interactive quest using your smartphone to track your activity. The more tasks you complete, there more points you get, and the top scorers will be in for some great prizes or draws.
Here’s how it works, say the Streetfest organizers on Facebook:
- each vendor will have a QR code for you to scan when you visit, each is worth 1 point.
- participating BID businesses will have a QR code for you to scan, each is worth 2 points.
- snap and submit a picture of a performance and get 3 points!
- there are additional tasks that can be completed where points earned can be as high as 6 points per task!
The first 250 players who sign up with a smart phone will get to play. The organizers hope to add more spots next year depending on this year’s response.
