The Weyburn MMA Club offers programs geared towards all ages and abilities. A typical class at Weyburn MMA consists of a light warm-up, stretching, and technical drilling. Sparing is an option and not required at Weyburn MMA.

The fall schedule opens up with Monday classes on September 30th, with Kids BJJ (ages five to nine) at 6:20 p.m., and Adults BJJ at 7:30 p.m., with open sparring at 8:30 p.m. coached by Dean Hodgekin.

The Wednesday classes include Kids BJJ (Ages nine and up) at 6:20 p.m., Adults 14 and up No Gi Jiu Jitsu at 7:30 p.m., and Open Sparing at 8:30 p.m. coached by Steve Schuck.

The Thursday class, Kids Kickboxing for all ages at 6:20 p.m., is coached by Dean Hodgekin.

The Sunday class, Kids Wrestling for BJJ, for all ages, is at 11:00 a.m., coached by Peyton Bengston. Previous experience is recommended.

The club's kickboxing program is based around various striking disciplines such as Muay Thai, Boxing, and American Kickboxing. Participants will learn various techniques in a fun and friendly environment. Benefits to participating in our Kickboxing class include improvement in, balance, core strength, cardiovascular conditioning, and energy; developing focus, coordination, and discipline; learning various striking techniques, from beginner to advanced, in a pressure-free, fun environment; and gaining the ability to set and achieve goals.

The club's Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (or BJJ) is a martial art and combat sport system that focuses on grappling with particular emphasis on ground fighting. There are many benefits to participating in BJJ, including improvement in, balance, core strength, cardiovascular conditioning, and energy; learning the appropriate techniques to defend oneself in a confrontational situation; improved balance, focus, coordination, and self-control; learning the importance of treating others with courtesy and respect; gaining the ability to set and achieve goals; learning to persevere and not give up when faced with challenges; becoming more disciplined and humble; feeling the sense of belonging in a family-like environment.

The Weyburn MMA Club is coached by Dean Hodgkin, Steve Schuck, Tara Oesch, Peyton Bengtson, Brendon Ekstrom, Mitch Luik, and Dan Crooks. Students must be five years old as of the registration date.

Term 1 runs from September 30th to January 26th, and Term 2 runs from January 27th to May 12th. There will be no classes run on stat holidays unless otherwise posted. All scheduling is subject to change. 

Registration is only currently being accepted for Term 1. Term 2 registration will open up two weeks prior to the start date.

One class per week $170 per term for BJJ or Kickboxing; Two classes per week $250 per term for two BJJ classes or BJJ and Kickboxing 1 class a week; Three Classes per week $310 per term fpr two BJJ classes, one Kickboxing class.

A Family rate of one class per week for up to four participants is $340 per semester. The Family rate with unlimited classes for up to four participants is $420 per semester.

All students MUST have insurance and each participant is responsible for completing their own insurance, membership registration, and paying the fee. Follow the link to register HERE.

Gi uniforms are required for all Brazilian Jiu Jitsu classes and range from $80 to $135. BJJ Gis can be found on amazon.ca and various martial art equipment suppliers like hatashita.com. Participants are responsible for any competition costs.
