The Mainprize Manor and Health Centre is holding a Spaghetti Night fundraiser to raise money to purchase an OBIE system. OBIE projects virtual games and activities that residents can interact with. These activities are designed to improve cognition and motor skills for elderly residents.

The fundraiser will include a spaghetti supper, alongside a silent auction and live music. Mary Wiebe with the Mainprize Manor activities department says all auction items were donated from local businesses in and around Midale.

“We got about $2,000 worth of gift certificates here and a bunch of baskets and some tools, a jewelry and a summer pack, and that's all going to be at the silent auction.”

Ingredients for the supper were also sourced from local donations.

The event will be held at the Midale Civic Centre at 5:30. Tickets can be purchased at the door or ahead of time by calling the Mainprize Manor at (306) 458-4000 and asking for activities or contacting Mary Wiebe at (306) 471-1019.

Tickets are $15 per plate for adults, $10 per plate for children ages six to sixteen, and free for children under six.
