Emergency crews remained on the scene of a two vehicle collision south of Altona late into Saturday night.
According to Altona/Rhineland Emergency Services, the department responded to the collision around 4:18 p.m. Saturday afternoon. It was at the junction of Highway 30 and PR 421.
Two vehicles were involved in the incident, and one person has been confirmed deceased as a result of it.
Traffic was being re-routed around the scene Saturday evening.

This is the second serious collision to occur along Highway 30 near Altona this week. One person was seriously injured in a three-vehicle crash north of Altona Wednesday afternoon near the junction of PR 201. That person was airlifted to a Winnipeg hospital by STARS Air Ambulance.
