Saturday at the Corn and Apple Festival was a day filled with excitement, tradition, and community pride. The day kicked off with the much-anticipated Corn & Apple Parade, where the streets were lined with Morden residents eager to see the colourful floats, marching bands, and local groups showcasing their creativity and spirit.

"It's been a great weekend so far. The crowds are good despite the heat, and the music tonight has just been phenomenal," said Nathan Knight, Corn and Apple Festival chairperson.

As the parade wrapped up, festival-goers headed to the food stands for the festival's classic hot buttered corn and ice-cold apple cider. These treats, a staple of the festival, were enjoyed by all as people walked through the vendor booths, offering everything from handmade crafts to delicious treats.

The Midway rides were filled with the sounds of laughter and excitement as families enjoyed the event, while the petting zoo provided a more relaxed atmosphere for children to interact with animals.

"We want everyone to have a good time. We want our guests who come into Morden to have a good time... We want our locals to have a good time because we need them to put the festival on. We want our vendors to have a good time because we want them to come back," said Knight.

In the evening, live performances kept the energy high, with local bands taking the stage. The combination of great weather, energetic entertainment, and a strong sense of community made Saturday at the Corn and Apple Festival a memorable experience.
