The 2024 Morden Corn & Apple Festival wrapped up on Sunday with an exciting celebration that captured the heart of the community. The day began with a heartfelt community worship service, setting a reflective tone for the festivities.

"We're just so delighted to be here at the Corn and Apple Festival... It's beautiful. And the people are just so gracious and kind." said Ben Lowell, Chief Executive Officer of the Good News Broadcasting Association of Canada, who replaced Dr. John."Doctor John was very disappointed not to be able to be here... He just loves it here."

Throughout the day, families enjoyed the Wonder Shows Midway, where rides and games provided endless entertainment. The classic car show was a major attraction, with vintage car enthusiasts gathering to see a stunning array of vehicles.

The main stage kept the energy high with a diverse lineup of performers, showcasing local talent and headlining acts. As evening continued, the final performances brought everyone together, ending the festival on a high note with The Color and Russ Lee.

"My goal is one day to get New Song up here to Canada. But in the meantime, I decided to come by myself and scope things out because I heard there were corn and apples," said Russ Lee, lead singer of New Song. "It's going to be a fun time tonight, and we'll sing... on occasion, I may just stop singing and start talking to people... It's [Morden's] a beautiful city. I've been hosted so well, and everyone's just gone out of their way to be kind."

With its combination of music, food, and energy, the Corn & Apple Festival once again highlighted the best of Morden, leaving attendees with treasured memories and a strong sense of local pride. The successful weekend strengthened the festival's status as a must-visit summer event, celebrating tradition and togetherness in true Morden style.
