A motorcyclist was sent to hospital with undetermined injuries after a Saturday afternoon collision in Morden at the intersection of Mountain and Thornhill Streets.

Morden Police Chief Brad Neduzak says the call came in around 1:44 p.m., and when officers arrived it was a determined a motorcycle and SUV had been involved, with the driver of the motorcycle laying on the ground with undetermined injuries. Fire and ambulance were on scene shortly thereafter and provided medical attention.

The investigation determined the SUV was travelling westbound on Thornhill, attempting to turn south onto Mountain on a green light. As the driver of the SUV proceeded through its turn, a motorcycle travelling eastbound on Thornhill Street in the curb lane, collided with the vehicle.

At this time, police do not have an update on the motorcycle driver’s condition.

The driver of the SUV was issued a provincial offence notice for Proceed Before Safe To Do So, which carries a$174 fine.
