Estevan Fire Rescue (EFR) responded to a few emergencies over the past week, in addition to several fire alarms.

On Aug. 19 at 8:15 a.m., EFR responded to an elevator rescue in the northwest area of Estevan. One occupant was assisted without incident.

On Aug. 21, EFR responded to a grass fire south of the city. Crews extinguished the fire with minimal damage and no reported injuries. They remained on the scene for around three hours. Later that evening, EFR responded to approximately five incidents involving trees and power lines due to the storm. No damage or injuries were reported from these incidents.

On Aug. 23, crews responded to a motor vehicle collision in the northwest area of the city. They assisted, with minor injuries reported.

On Aug. 25, at around 8 a.m., EFR was dispatched to a residential CO alarm. Crews investigated, but no CO readings were detected. SaskEnergy responded to investigate further. At around 12:30 p.m. that day, crews were dispatched to a grass fire on the west side of the city. Crews extinguished the fire, with no damage or injuries reported. They were on the scene for around four hours.

Throughout the week, EFR responded to eight commercial fire alarm calls, with no emergencies occurring.
