This weekend is the last long weekend at Nickle Lake Regional Park, which means some special events will be taking place.
The morning will kick off with the final Market of the season, running from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
"Come on out, maybe buy some early Christmas presents and maybe some veggies and stuff," invited Park Manager Darren Wheeler. "If you're still wanting to get your name in and get registered for the vendor, you're more than welcome. Just just give Michelle Warken a call and you can get you signed up for it."
Wheeler said the market has been growing in numbers each time it's held.
"There's just more and more vendors coming out and they're all enjoying it, and we're getting really good response from everybody who went out to tour and buy stuff from them, it's been really good."
While the Beaver Den has closed for the season, and there will be no car show this time, there will be something new added to Saturday's festivities.
"From 1 to 5 p.m. we have the Zubazz Karaoke and DJ Dance Party, so invite everybody to come out and try their singing and show off their dance moves. It should be good for everybody."
The karaoke and dance party will be held in the Beer Gardens, which open at 12, closing at 10:30 p.m.
"To wrap the evening up, we have the Revival 39 band starting at 7, which is sponsored by Weyburn Dodge," said Wheeler. "They play from 7 to 10:30."
Park entry is $15 without a season pass. Safe rides home will be via taxi, with the numbers available at the park.
