Hazel Lorraine Desjardin
With sadness we announce that Hazel Desjardin passed away on August 23, 2024 at the Douglas Campbell Lodge at the age of 80 years.
Hazel will be lovingly remembered by her partner Donny Garnham of Oakville, MB, children Valerie (Ray) Harder of Selkirk, MB, Wayne Desjardin of Winnipeg, MB, Howard Desjardin of Selkirk, MB, grandchildren Chris Desjardin, Felicia Lobster, Dylan Hamlin, Tara Hamlin, Jack Hiebert, Tanis Desjardin, Matty Fredrickson, Julie Nelissen, Jeremy Fredrickson, Mike Nelissen, Howard Lobster and Jennifer Nelissen.
Hazel was predeceased by her parents Mary Gladue and Keith Hourie, siblings Linda (John) Carmichael, Dorothy (Dave) Scott, Jim (Sheila) Gladue and Sadie (Bobby) Kent, daughter Brenda Nelissen, son Edward Desjardin, granddaughter Michelle Hiebert, daughter-in-law Anita Fredrickson and ex-husband William Desjardin.
Prayers will be held at McKenzies Portage Funeral Chapel on Thursday, August 29, 2024 at 7:00 pm. Funeral Mass will be held at Good Shepherd Catholic Church on Friday, August 30, 2024 at 1:00 pm, with Fr. Roy George Vazhaplankudiyil officiating. Interment to follow in Oakville Cemetery.
