Local pools will be open for one more week, offering one last chance to enjoy them this summer warmth before the season winds down.
Bryson Loewen, a pool supervisor, reflects on what has been a fantastic summer. “It's been awesome, the amount of people that we've had coming in has just been really good, especially compared to other years,” he shared. The consistently warm weather has drawn more visitors, keeping the Altona Aquatic Centre full of activity.
Whether you’re looking to swim a few more laps, spend quality time with family, or simply relax by the water, this is the perfect opportunity to make the most of the last few summer days Aquatic Centres will be open.
Piper Stoes, third-year lifeguard, hopes the weather stays sunny, encouraging more people to come out and enjoy the pool, whether it's under the sun or in a quieter, less crowded setting. She notes that even on cooler days, the pool offers a great experience.
"We got a really nice facility here, we have stuff for everyone, little kids, big kids, the whole family can come on down and enjoy it. In the last week we're usually not too busy, so you might be lucky enough to have the whole pool all to yourselves," said Stoes.
With just a few days left, now is the time to take advantage of the pool before it’s gone for the season.
