City of Weyburn announces opening of First Avenue

A press release issued by the City of Weyburn announces the opening of First Avenue after being under construction since July 8th.  

The project involved significant replacement and reconstruction of infrastructure between Fifth Street and Tenth Street and the repaving of thirteen blocks along First Avenue. These upgrades were crucial to the long-term integrity of the road. 

The project was completed ahead of schedule due to the efforts of the construction team, and favorable weather conditions.  

The city extends thanks to the residents and local business owners for their patience during construction.
