Environment Canada has issued a Special Weather Statement across much of Southern Alberta, including Foothills County.
They're anticipating heavy rainfall throughout the day (Aug. 28), with upwards of 40 mm expected.
Powerful northerly winds as strong as 80 km/h are also likely to develop in the late morning and into the afternoon but are expected to die down later in the day.
