Sylvan Lake Council makes good on bet

It was a hard pill to swallow, as the Town of Sylvan Lake Councilors were forced to wear Okotoks Dawg's baseball jerseys after losing a bet with the rival town.

Unfortunately, after a record-breaking winning season for The Sylvan Lake Gulls, they would eventually lose to The Okotoks Dawgs in the Western Canadian Baseball League (WCBL) 2024 Western Division playoffs.

Sylvan Lake Mayor, Megan Hanson, took the loss in stride and said they will place another wager again next year because she is confident the Gulls can beat Okotoks next season.
