Morden Home Hardware Building Centre was the proud presenter of this year’s Summer Shedtacular, an event that had the Pembina Valley filled with excitement. The grand finale saw all of this Summer's qualifiers gather for the much-anticipated games that promised a shed filled with incredible prizes.

"It was very exciting. There's a lot of build up, a lot of prep work that happens with this, it's good to see it all come together, and see somebody win the shed," said Micah Janzen, Manager at Morden Home Hardware Building Centre.

Through a series of elimination games, including four corners, a spirited cookie contest, and an exciting Plinko experience, we arrived at the seven finalists who selected a key for the lock on the shed door. Only one of those keys unlocked the door to thousands of dollars of prizes (including the shed!), and that key was selected by Lisa Krahn, a dedicated CFAM Radio 950 listener. The atmosphere was electric as Lisa’s key was able to open the padlock, and the crowd erupted in cheers.

"I'm shocked, but I'm grateful for the opportunity, and I really appreciated all the contests you guys have had on the radio," said Lisa Krahn, Shedtacular Winner. "I’m stunned. I’m at odds for words... we have a rustier shed that’s been there since we moved in—it’s actually 50 years old. The doors don’t slide very well, and the floor is rotting, so yeah, we could really use the replacement."

The event was the climax of weeks of excitement as over 13,000 entries poured in via PembinaValleyOnline and through the many cues to call on Country88, Eagle 93.5 and CFAM Radio 950. The Summer Shedtacular continues to be a highlight for us, our sponsors and you as we celebrate the end of summer in style.
