EPYC, the Estevan Public Youth Centre, is looking to launch a new program to give back to the community.

Merissa Scarlett, executive director of EPYC, said the idea was inspired by a desire to express gratitude for the community’s support.

“I know the youth and I am very thankful for the community support, and I was thinking we could start giving back,” Scarlett said.

The program would provide youth at EPYC an opportunity to show their appreciation.

“I’m currently looking for small projects, two hours maximum,” she said. “Ideally, we could do them on Friday and Saturday evenings, and we could assemble a team of interested youth who could come volunteer.”

Scarlett added, “It’s just a way to start building some really good habits and show the youth the value of volunteering and being involved.”
