RIDDELL
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Isobell Pearl (Diz) Riddell on Thursday, August 29th, 2024, at the age of 89 years.
Isobell was born in Prince Albert, SK, the middle of 5 siblings, where she went to school, and met and married Gerald (Jack) Riddell. They lived in Regina, SK during the early years of their marriage before moving to Moose Jaw, SK in 1961, where they lived the rest of their lives and raised 4 children.
Isobell worked for Moose Jaw Clinic and the Moose Jaw School Board before her retirement. She loved a Saskatchewan thunderstorm, good burnt BBQed hot dogs, cheering on the Riders, and talking about and looking at pictures of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Isobell was predeceased by Jack on January 25th, 2013, and is survived by her children: Debbie (Glenn) Wolkowski, Wendy (Jim) Bailey, Jack (Merlyn) Riddell, and Jim Riddell; grandchildren: Lindsay, Ashlee, Kelsey, Karen, Vicki, Mara, and Michelle; 13 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Ellen Taraschiuk; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank the staff at Chateau St Michael for their care during Mom’s final days, as well as the staff at The Bentley.
A private family gathering will be held at a later date to honour Isobell. In lieu of flowers, donations in Isobell’s name may be made to The Moose Jaw Humane Society, Box 1658 Station Main, Moose Jaw, SK S6H 7K7 or The Arthritis Society, 110 – 2550 – 12th Ave, Regina, SK S4P 3X1.
