The Calgary Stampeders were handed their second loss in 12 years at the Labour Day Classic with the Edmonton Elks winning 35-20 in their CFL clash on Monday (September, 2nd).

The Stampeders paid tribute to Johnny and Matthew Gaudreau before the game started in a nice touch to show respect to a man who meant a lot to the City of Calgary.

The Elks held the Stamps rushing to only 18 yards in the contest, making Calgary heavily rely on their passing. Edmonton put up a large lead in total yards with 588 to the Stamps 348. The Elks showcased their passing with 486 yards and rushing for 102.
