Aileen Anderson is $200,000 richer after learning she won the lottery while at work.
The Cochranite says her day began like any other, but everything changed dramatically when she checked the scratch tickets she had purchased.
"I started to scratch the tickets and when I got to the second one, I saw I’d won $200,000," she said in a news release from the Western Canada Lottery Corporation. "I just couldn’t believe it."
Anderson purchased the $7 Lucky Lines Extravaganza ticket from Shoppers Drug Mart in Cochrane.
"I sat at my desk in shock, then I went outside for a walk to calm down."
“I couldn’t believe it. I really can’t believe I won that much!”
Anderson plans to save the money for retirement.
