Edward Zintel
March 4, 1935 – September 1, 2024

Edward Zintel was born on March 4, 1935, to Julia (née Fachet) and Adolf Zintel in St. Elizabeth Hospital in Humboldt, Saskatchewan.

Edward grew up in Marysburg, Saskatchewan and attended St. Henry’s School there. In his early twenties, Edward survived a devastating car crash that left him with life-threatening injuries. Despite the grim prognosis and a challenging recovery period, he showed remarkable resilience and determination, eventually relearning how to walk.

Edward met Evelyn Duke through his sister Dolores, as both were training to become nurses. They were married on October 15, 1960, at St. Augustine Church in Humboldt.

Edward took over the family farm in Marysburg and farmed there until moving to Humboldt in the late 1960s. He then spent the rest of his career working at the potash mine in Colonsay, Saskatchewan.

Edward and Evelyn enjoyed a variety of activities together, including square dancing, bowling, playing cribbage, and traveling.

Their adventures took them to Hawaii and Cuba numerous times, as well as several trips to Europe.

His family would like to thank The Elizabeth team for their support and kindness for the past three years.

Edward will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by his 5 children, twelve grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren:
