The Town of Okotoks is going to be spraying some of their sports fields starting this week.

They took to Facebook to let people know that they will be fertilizing several places around town.

From September 2-17, crews will be out spraying a non-toxic, eco-friendly fertilizer on several fields in town.

The Air Ranch Sports Fields, Big Rock Sports Fields, Bill Robertson Park, Drake Landing Soccer Fields, Howard Park, Kinsmen Park, Lauden Park, and Meadow Ridge Sports Fields will all be getting sprayed.

The fertilizer the Town will be using has bacteria that naturally enriches the soil and helps to support healthy growing conditions.

The nutrients in the fertilizer improves the soil structure and helps to increase drought tolerance, root growth, and overall plant health.
