The Estevan Police Service had a number of calls over the long weekend with community activity reported throughout.

The EPS reported the following incidents on Saturday, August 31:

Police found themselves dispatched to the Westview area for a domestic disturbance, speaking to the parties and resolving the matter. Their Police and Crisis Team also helped out and offered counseling services to the parties involved.

A noise complaint was received which saw members head to a residence in central Estevan. Police spoke with the homeowner and wanted them of the bylaw, with no further involvement required.

Members received a report of three youths climbing onto St. Mary's school. None were located in the immediate area following a patrol of the area both on foot and by patrol car.

Several curfew checks were conducted on individuals who had release conditions in cases. One female was not found at home with charges now pending.

Calls were received about a suspicious person knocking on a person's door during the early morning hours. Police arrived and could not locate anyone in the area.

Work continued on September 1 starting off with a quad riding through the city and on private property.

Police located the vehicle in the 200 block of Willow Park Queens, with the driver receiving a ticket for not having a license. The quad was seized and impounded for 30 days.

A report of criminal harassment was received with an investigation now underway by the EPS. Police provided some support to the complainant through the Police and Crisis Team.

Members responded to an alarm at a tire shop in the west end of the city which proved to be a false alarm. The building was found to be secure.

Three separate calls were received over the day for suspicious people on the 1200 and 1300 blocks of 7th Street. After patrols were conducted no one could be located in the area.
