The Fish were held to just five hits and lost 5-0 to the Canaries Wednesday night at Sioux Falls Stadium in game one of the American Association's best-of-three West Division semifinal. Edwin Arroyo and Jake McMurray had two hits each for the Goldeyes. Winnipeg starter Joey Matulovich took the loss. He went four innings, allowed four hits, three earned runs and struck out five.

Winnipeg quarterback Zach Collaros was on the practice field with the rest of his Blue Bombers teammates Wednesday, just three days after getting knocked out of the game late in the second quarter of the Labour Day Classic in Regina. Lions for first place in the CFL West. Both teams have 6-6 records but Winnipeg owns the tie-breaker. The Bombers will host the Riders in the Banjo Bowl Saturday afternoon.
