Estevan police tackled a range of incidents this week, from assisting with a traffic safety arrest to addressing noise complaints and managing an intoxicated individual.
Estevan police assisted the White Butte RCMP Detachment in executing an arrest warrant related to a traffic safety matter. The warrant involved a woman from Estevan, who was released from custody with a new court date set.
In a separate traffic stop, a 53-year-old man had his driver’s license suspended for three days and his vehicle impounded for the same period after a breath sample indicated alcohol consumption.
Police responded to a noise complaint in the Hillside area about a loud stereo. Officers advised the homeowner of the noise bylaw, though the stereo had been turned down prior to their arrival.
Additionally, officers investigated a report of an intoxicated female in the city core. She was not located but was later found to have been picked up by a taxi shortly after the complaint was received.
