Premier Danielle Smith will be making an appearance in Foothills County later this month.

An "Okotoks Town Hall" is being held in the Highwood Riding on September 19 and will see MLA RJ Sigurdson appearing along with the Premier.

The UCP members-only event is being held at the Saskatoon Berry Farm, with no admittance fee.

It's one of several such events being held in ridings across Southern Alberta, with other upcoming locations including Camrose, Picture Butte, and Rocky Mountain House.

In November, UCP members will be voting in a leadership review at the 2024 UCP AGM in Red Deer.

The September 19 town hall is the only visit to the riding a provincial party leader is currently scheduled, though two local constituency associations are hosting their own events this Saturday (Sept. 7).

The Highwood UCP is holding a summer street party in Okotoks, while the Highwood NDP is hosting Banff-Kananaskis MLA Sarah Elmeligi for an event in Diamond Valley.
