The annual Threshing Day Celebration is coming up Saturday at Sheppard Family Park.
It should also be hot with a high of 32° Celsius as volunteers take part in the old-time threshing and harvesting of a crop of hay.
Volunteer Dave King says they have a great crop this year too.
"Yeah, a lot of times in past years we don't have a whole lot to put through the machine and demo. But this year we'll definitely have a good couple of hours in the morning and a good couple of hours in the afternoon for many people to be able to stop by and see it. It's going to be a good day."
Besides the threshing demonstrations, King says they have a lot more going on.
"Toys from the dealerships for draws for kids, people can pick a brand and pick a piece of wood that people get to take home. And that's right beside the blacksmith shop with the blacksmiths doing demonstrations plus we have a Ferrier there working and all those things."
And don't forget those pies. Mrs. King (Dave's mom) makes delicious homemade pies for sale.
Here's their poster listing everything going on.
Admission is by donation, and it runs from 10 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.
