RVS enrolment continues to grow

Enrolment in the Rocky View School Division (RVS) schools is expected to grow over 2.6 per cent by the end of September.

As of Sept. 4, RVS enrolment was 29,307 students, an increase of 700 students from September 2023. It is expected to grow by another 50 students for a total of 29,350 students by Sept. 30.

The board of trustees were told enrolment numbers fluctuate almost daily. Enrolment numbers aren't scheduled to be submitted to Alberta Education until Sept. 30, a key date in determining funding for the 2024/25 school year.

The RVS board of trustees were provided the initial enrolment numbers for its 51 schools during its Sept. 5 meeting.

Students returned to class on Sept. 3.
