Outbuilding destroyed, adjacent structures not damaged in Albert Street fire

At 1:09 p.m. Sunday afternoon, Winkler Fire Department responded to a structure fire on an Albert Street yard.

According to Chief Richard Paetzold, when crews arrived they found a fully engulfed outbuilding located behind the main residence. Firefighters proceeded to protect the adjacent buildings and extinguished the blaze.

The outbuilding was destroyed, and there was some damage to nearby trees, but there was no damage to any of the adjacent structures.

There were no injuries in the incident, and the cause remains under investigation.
