RCMP arrested two on Sunday after a stolen vehicle incident (file photo)

 On Sunday, Sept. 8, 2024, Maskwacis RCMP received a report that the victim was assaulted and her vehicle, a 2023 Dodge truck,  stolen by two known offenders on Louis Bull First Nation.

RCMP then received a report that the same suspects using the stolen vehicle may have shot a firearm at another witness near the Bear Hills Truck Stop on the QE II.

RCMP located the vehicle and with the assistance of EPS Air1 maintained surveillance of the truck. The truck was observed pulling up to a residence on Louise Bull First Nation. The RCMP Emergency Response Team was deployed and with the assistance of EPS TAC all occupants safely exited the home and were taken into custody.

As a result of the investigation to this point, RCMP have charged Louis Bull First Nation residents Colin Tyson Bull (24), and Shaunelle Tawny Marilyn Okeymow (31), with: Robbery and Possession of Property obtained by crime over $5000.

Bull was taken before a Justice of the Peace and is currently being held on cash bail with his next court date set for Sept. 12, 2024, at the Alberta Court of Justice in Wetaskiwin.

Okeymow was taken before a Justice of the Peace and released with her court date set for Sept. 26, 2024, at the Alberta Court of Justice in Wetaskiwin.

The investigation into the firearms incident continues.
