High River's annual Terry Fox run is ready to roll out at George Lane Park this Sunday.

You've seen the signs around town and organizer Brenda McCredie, who's been doing it for 10 years now, is still enthusiastic about raising funds for cancer.

"The run is in High River at George Lane on Sunday, September 15th. We do pre-registration at 9:30. The run begins at 10. It's a 5-kilometre route, you can walk, jog, run, rollerblade, it's wheelchair accessible. It's all on the berm."

McCredie also reminds you can bring your dog too, but just one dog per participant.

The annual run is now in its 44th year and McCredie says you don't have to run to help with the cause.

"If you can't make it but would like to donate, you can go to the Terry Fox dot org website and you can find the High River run on there."

According to the Terry Fox website "nearly two in five Canadians will face cancer during their lifetime. Terry never gave up, and neither will we. Together, we’re forging a path to a future where cancer is no longer a threat."
