There are now five million more reasons to play the Lotto Max this week.
The main prize cap has been increased to $80 million, up from the previous $70 million grand prize.
The grand prize for this Friday (Sept. 13) is a record $75-million, and there will also be 12 Maxmillions prizes available for people to win.
In total, $87 million will be up for grabs on Friday the 13th.
If that prize isn't won, it will get rolled into the grand prize for Tuesday, September 17, which will make it a record breaking $80-million and the largest Lotto jackpot available in Canada.
The odds of winning one of these jackpots is 1 in 33,294,800 per $5 play, with overall odds to win a prize are 1 in 7 per $5 play.
