Minto area farmers Keith, Donald and Derek Tufts and their families enjoyed their Meal on the Farm through CJRB's harvest contest.  The Tufts family farm was originally purchased in 1911 by Donald's grandfather. Son Keith took over the farm and then his son, Donald carried on the passion for farming from there.  Fourth generation, Derek, and is dad Donald farm together on the original Tufts homestead west of Minto near Fairfax, MB.

The Wednesday meal was provided by Boissevain's Home Hotel and delivered to the Tufts family farm west of Minto.

Harvest is looking good for the Tufts family. The cereals are done, and the yields were good.  They've taken off most of the canola, with some acres still left that will be ready soon. After that will be the soybeans to complete their harvest of 2024.

Donals and Cheryl Tufts are CJRB's second winner in the Meals in the Field contest that takes place each fall season.  Donald's name was drawn at our Meals sponsor, Pembina Co-op Agro Centre in Minto.
